Massive TV turnout on Republic Day: DD channels see 3.6x rise in viewership

 114.1 million Indians tuned in to watch this year's Republic Day celebrations on national news and Doordarshan channels. The Live broadcast gave DD network a 3.6x rise in amount of time spent in a day (January).  The network's unique reach rose from a daily average of 101 million viewers to 183 million on Republic Day.
