One can debate if Bollywood movies are getting any better, but they are inarguably getting bigger with large budget films. After the visually magnificent Ram Leela, up next is Dhoom 3, whose teaser itself broke the record with more than six million views. Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif reportedly trained for Ballet,Tap Dancing, Diving and Paragliding for their characters. Joe Digaetano, best known for his work in Transformers, Real Steel and Pearl Harbor, has directed the special effects for Dhoom 3. And there's more - it is going to be the first movie in Bollywood to be released in IMAX format and Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. Now we know how a hundred and fifty crores went whoop in the air.
Here are some undercover tidbits for you. Rumour is that Aamir Khan is playing a double role and an Australian actress by the name of Tabrett Bethell will be debuting in this movie opposite Uday Chopra. We are not sure if the gorgeous Tabrett is a good match for Uday Chopra but well, even Bipasha had to act dumb to play the part in the last Dhoom movie. Nevertheless, it looks like the men are definitely going to be pleased with the movie, as Tabrett and Katrina are joined by Diana Penty to add to the sizzle factor.
Well, I expect the news headline ‘Dhoom 3 breaks the all-time blockbuster record’ soon and I definitely am excited to contribute to that number. I have my fingers crossed for the 20th of December. What do you think? Will Bollywood get its beat back?

Dimple Kapadia is one actress who has aged beautifully. The actress is now making a comeback and will be playing the character of a surly divorcee aunt in the movie 'What the fish'. The role seems to have energy and humor and reminds me of Mrs. Arora from 'Vicky Donor'. The plot is apparently slapstick. Grumpy aunty goes out of town handing over the house to her niece’s fiancé and what surely follows is a crazy house party. Because that is not messy enough, the house is then host to an eloping couple, who later hand it over to a miscreant property broker. Later, the house is taken over by a Haryanvi who is also a cross dressing Kathak dancer. When Dimple Kapadia aka Sudha Mishra returns and confronts all this chaos, the film unravels. Such a crazy script surely demands some Johny Lever like characters and excellent comic timing.
Let’s see if 'What the fish' gets lost in the plethora of logic forsaken movies or manages to sail in the comedy parade. This one is coming to theatres this Friday and if you are in the mood for some laidback entertainment and don't intend to be very critical, you have a plan!!
