The Zapr Index | Q2 FY 2020 - Shopping Season released last week and just like the previous rankings, it's now (a)live and kicking on the website. The index was dubbed 'Shopping Season' as the quarter was a precursor to the current festive quarter.
Top advertisers in the quarter included e-commerce and retail brands (e.g. clothing, jewelry) as well as home care brands (e.g. paints, furniture), which are essential in prepping for the festive season. A lot of brands were seen to urge consumers to be prepared for the festivities ahead, while many premium brands (e.g. cars, life insurance, etc.) capitalized on the upcoming auspicious events with early festive offers.
Over a thousand different brands advertised on TV across several product categories last quarter alone. Despite the clutter, the following brands stood out and ranked #1 in its respective categories:
