The tenth highest grossing film of 2015 - 'The Martian' is finally here on Indian Television: 16.3 million viewers tuned in to watch the movie premiere on Star Movies. Check out some of the viewership trends:
Aired across two time-slots, the movie received higher viewership during the afternoon telecast - 8.4 million TV viewers. The prime-time telecast received slightly lower viewership - 8.3 million TV viewers. Interestingly, the viewership gradually rose throughout the night and reached a peak in the last hour - 3.7 million TV viewers.
Hyderabad had the highest number of viewers who watched the movie premiere - 1.2 million. Mumbai followed very closely with 1.1 million viewers. The cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Gurgaon also topped the viewership chart.
