Aatish Taseer has been a journalist for some big names in print like the Time magazine, the Sunday Telegraph, the Financial Times etc. and has also authored "Stranger to History: a Son's Journey through Islamic Lands" along with a few other famous works. He is a good looking man with a stunning sense of style. His demeanor is befitted to host a magazine styled show called ‘THE GENTLEMAN’S CODE’

Yes, it is a peculiar name for a talk show. But the question is what the show is about? The essence of the show is to capture masculinity in Indian context which is under scrutiny today. In an interview he argues, there is a clear generational shift in the “creative, interior and emotional” lives of men, pointing to more sensitized, less rigid masculinity, while on the other hand, there is disturbing evidence of the persistence of an aggressive, violent masculinity. So the idea is to call affluent and strong women from diverse backgrounds on the show and have a living room discussion.

The show definitely will be selling itself, touching upon matters of fashion, sex, and career.  But at the same time it will peek into deeper complexes faced by men, breaking through antique ideas of domination and responsibilities to become a gentleman in the contemporary world where women are jostling for space and identity.

The idea of the show is quite intriguing. The women who have already honored the show are Priyanka Chopra and Barkha Dutt. It will premiere this Sunday on Star World. For schedules, repeat telecasts as well a ready reckoner for TV, download ZAPR for your Android device.
