After Anil Kapoor set the ball rolling with '24' last year, Amitabh Bachchan is now set to enthrall TV audiences with his first fictional series 'Yudh'.

The show, which is Big B's fictional debut on small screen, seems to be full of drama. The story revolves around a man - his journey and struggle with his deteriorating health, his battle with business rivals and his complicated family equations. There is a debate going on that the show is inspired from the popular American crime drama TV series titled Breaking Bad. However, we beg to differ.

The series, which is named after Big B's character on the show - Yudhisthir Skarwar, will start airing on Sony soon. It boasts a sterling star-cast that includes Sarika, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kay Kay Menon. While Anurag Kashyap is part of the team as a creative director, Shoojit Sircar has donned the director's hat for part of the show.

Amitabh Bachchan's television debut in the fiction format is touted to be India's most expensive show in that segment. Yudh has already managed to break boundaries in terms of ad rates with Rs.3 lakh for a 10-second spot, thanks to its mega star-cast. This is practically double the normal rates of Rs1.5 lakh for 10 seconds on top-rated daily shows on general entertainment channels.

Amitabh Bachchan is no stranger to the television. His outstanding performance in Kaun Banega Crorepati took the show to much greater heights. Will his brush with fiction be just as successful? We'll have to wait and see!
