Showcasing stage performances by acclaimed folk artists to celebrate Indian cultural events, the show has received consistent viewership since its launch. The telecast on 16th September received the highest viewership with 1.38 million people tuned in to watch the show.

Uttar Pradesh claimed the highest share of viewership for ‘Big Mahotsav’. Rural audiences claimed larger viewership shares, except for the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat which had higher number of urban viewers tuned in to watch the show.
