Massive TV turnout on Republic Day: DD channels see 3.6x rise in viewership

114.1 million Indians watched the Republic Day celebrations. Doordarshan channels saw 3.6x spike from average viewership in January.

 114.1 million Indians tuned in to watch this year’s Republic Day celebrations on national news and Doordarshan channels. The Live broadcast gave DD network a 3.6x rise in amount of time spent in a day (January).  The network’s unique reach rose from a daily average of 101 million viewers to 183 million on Republic Day.
